This week the people of Zimbabwe cast their votes, in what is likely the most hotly contested struggle for power since the independence war against settler colonialism. While Zimbabweans will ultimately determine their country’s course, we invite solidarity activists and Zimbabweans in the Diaspora to support the calls for fundamental change. We can send a message to governments throughout Southern Africa and in the United Kingdom, and to those who govern in the United States, that Zimbabwe’s crisis is our crisis. Their struggle for human rights and human security is our struggle.
